Happy Thursday folks! The sunshine here in central Alberta has been a welcome sight after all the rainy, cold weather we have been experiencing all summer.....we had better enjoy it while we can hey? 'Ol Man Winter will soon be visiting....giggle....

OK, onto bidnisssss......last week's FALL challenge brought forth some AMAZINGLY TALENTED cards and projects. Y'all are making this "choosing business" rather difficult - but we love it! We tossed around many participants but had to come up with only 3 - here they are in no particular order:

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #3 and Golden Egg Award :)

Here we are on challenge #3 and it is being brought to you by me "Tamie"...I will be the hostess-with-the-mostess this week. I am so excited to challenge you to one of my favorite techniques. Are you ready for it? Embossing heat/dry. It seems to just add that little somethin' to a card.

Here is my card! I used two Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swiss Dots and Leafy Branch. The Leafy Branch folder I colored the inside of it to get the effect on my card.

Now for this week's challenge - a color challenge!! Many of you know how much I LOVE color challenges so I figured that my first week as 4CCC hostess HAD to be a color challenge. Here in Alberta, the weather is starting to feel like winter is lurking right around the corner so I wanted to choose some colors that didn't make you feel cold. :) How do you like these?

Welcome to 4 Crafty Chicks! We are a close-knit circle of friends who are addicted to the paper crafting world and we want to share that addiction with as many out there as possible! We all know the type...the paper hoarders, the stamp addicts, the ribbon stashers, the button collectors...you know who you are :)

Every Thursday morning, each of us "chicks" will take a turn hosting the challenge for the week...be it a sketch, inspiration, color, theme, etc. In order to be eligible for the prizes, your card must be linked with inLinkz to your actual post on your blog by the following Tuesday at midnight, MST. Us 4 Crafty Chicks will be using mostly Stampin' Up! colors for our challenges, but please don't worry if you don't have those colors - just use whatever you have that is as close to those colors as you can - it's all about having fun here and being able to participate!

We will be awarding a "Golden Egg" (badge for your blog) to the top 3 submissions for that challenge - they will be announced on the morning of the new challenge for the week. A prize will be offered on the last challenge (Thursday) of the month.
