Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to another challenge from us 4 Crafty Chicks and our 2 wonderful Guest Designer Chicks - Heather and Kasey! All of us here at 4 Crafty Chicks would like to take this opportunity to thank Heather and Kasey - we are so blessed to have had such talented ladies over the past 3 months! Thanks again, ladies! xoxoxoxo

This week it's my turn to issue the challenge and it's a "NO STAMPING ZONE!!" So, that means you can use rub-on's, die cuts, computer print outs, etc....just NO STAMPING!!! Since it's the last Thursday of the month, that means it's PRIZE TIME! I am offering up the following goodies to one lucky participant this week. We will use Random.org to choose the winner:

Here is my card for this weeks' challenge - it is from a kit that I made a while back and I used rub-on's and a marker for the accents...

...and without further adieu, here are the wonderful creations from the rest of the gang:

Winner's of Challenge #86 - Boys Dig It!

Welcome back to 4 Crafty Chicks.....it is a gray day out here in Central Alberta.  The rain that will be coming is sure going to green things up and make the air smell fresh.

Blogger is testing my patience today but with Lori's (fellow chicks) help I am now on my way to announcing our TOP 3.  What an amazing week we had, with so much inspiration and talent on our Boys Dig It Challenge.  It is definitely a place to come back to for idea's and inspiration. Thanks to everyone who took the time to share your creations with us, they are all so fabby.

After many hard decisions we have come up with our TOP 3.

The faux stitching is just awesome on the layered pieces and adds to the dimension of your card. Your colors are fabulous and the image that you colored is so amazing. What little boy doesn't love there dog, the water and maybe a little quiet time fishing.  Fabulous inspiration.

Stunning colors together, along with the layers and layout.  Your image is so crisp and clean.  The image you colored is fabulous and your guitar is just the perfect touch.  So many boys want to be a rock star and this image just shows what it is like to learn music with such concentration .  Wonderful inspiration.

The colors are stunning together and the pattern paper is just perfect.  So many other details on your card just make it pop.  Crisp lines, buttons and the material add so much to your creation. Your image is wonderful and the coloring is fantastic.  Besides cars, what boy doesn't love a plane. Amazing inspiration.

Congratulations, ladies! Please grab your Golden Egg badge and display it proudly on your blog! We'd love it if you could link it back to our challenge blog too.

Boys Dig It!

Hello and welcome back to 4 Crafty Chicks. Be sure to scroll down and see our TOP 3 picks for last week. First off thank you so much too everyone who joined us for Melissa's challenge last week. The talent was rockin.

Today is Thursday so you know what that means a new challenge for everyone to play along with. It is me, Tamie and it is my pleasure to share this weeks challenge with you.

CHALLENGE #86 - BOYS DIG IT!

Sometimes, I find it hard to make masculine cards and when I need one there is never one around. It is a simple challenge right?

The card I created is a simple one and it was for my sons birthday. He loves his Ipod touch (a boys dig it moment) and well I thought this Kenny K image (Teen Idol) was totally him.

My fellow DT's have really out did themselves on this challenge. Thanks girls for the amazing inspiration.

Kasey

Challenge #85 - Material Girl!

Welcome back for another fun 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge!  We've got a fun one for you this week but you might find it a bit challenging.  :)  I know most of us have used ribbon and twine on our cards but how many of us have used fabric?  Probably not as many as you'd think.  So, this week, my challenge to you is to use fabric/material on your project - and ribbon/twine doesn't count!!!  Yes, I'm making it difficult but that's why they call it a challenge, right?  You could use burlap or canvas or cotton....the possibilities are endless.

For my card, I used some felt.  I picked up a bunch at the dollar store in town and have been using it a fair bit lately:

And here's what the rest of the fabulous design team created for us this month - Heather and Casey are back together for the whole month!  Thanks again, ladies!

Heather

Her fabric/material is the tulle in the flowers.

Kasey
Her fabric/material is from a bag she made for her Mum - it was some she had left over...lovely.

Her fabric/material is the stamped image, colored and used Spellbinders to cut it out.

Her fabric/material is the felt clouds using a MFT die.

Tamie
Her fabric/material is the felt flowers on her card.
